2016 RHP Anthony Molina has committed to the University of Miami!!!!
It’s not often you see freshman’s verbally commit to their dream school unless it’s under special circumstances. Anthony Molina is every bit of special. Anthony joined our program last year as an 8th grader and played for our 15u team over the summer where he started making a name for himself at the Perfect Game BCS and the WWBA and was clocked at 91 mph.
He joined our fall team and once again in Fort Myers at the WWBA Underclass he was clocked at 91 mph…………………ON HIS 15th BIRTHDAY!!!
It’s not often you have an underclass pitcher that pitches in the high 80’s low 90’s let a lone a 14 year old who just turned 15 that day. He didn’t stop there. With his hard work Anthony topped out at 92 mph at the Elite Winter Camp in December where Miami amongst other schools were there and took notice of a special talent.
Last week Anthony took a visit to his dream school, and a program that he has followed growing up. He was blown away with the campus, coaches and history of the program. He knew that’s where he wanted to go to school and made his decision to accept the scholarship offer Miami had given him.
Anthony will join a ton of future Canes from his Elite Family at the University of Miami. (To view the list and all the college commitments click here)
Congratulations to Anthony and his family for this special accomplishment!
