2014 LHP Freddie Sultan has committed to Winthrop University!
Freddie has been with us since his freshman year of high school (life-r). In that time he has pitched in some pressure filled games and had some impressive outings throughout his career with us.
He played for Coach Joe Giummule’s squad his first two years. During that time, Freddie threw two no-hitters (1 at the BCS Finals against the Atlanta Blue Jays and a “perfect game” at the Hardball Memorial Tournament against the Broward Bangers. In the biggest game of the 2012 summer, Freddie pitched and led his team to a huge victory against the number 1 seed EvoShield Canes in the PG WWBA National Championship where our Squad ended up coming in third last year.
This summer Freddie continued his contributions with the 17U Slugger Team where he only had one loss and made All-Tournament Pitcher in both the PG WWBA National Championship and the PG 17U World Series in AZ.
Freddie will join former Elite Squad Pitcher Ryan Owens for the Winthrop Eagles in the fall of 2014.
