2015 RHP Nathan Pawelczyk has committed to Winthrop University!
Nathan is an Elite Squad Lifer. Nate first came to us during the fall of his freshman year at Cardinal Gibbons and has played with us ever since. Nathan has always been a leader for each team he played on and this summer was no different. Although he was selected to be a Pitcher on his 17u Prime team because of injuries often times he would find himself in the line up and always found a way to contribute. Especially at the 17u PG World Series in Az where he was called in off the bench and came up with the game winning 2RBI base hit to move his team into the final four.
Off the mound Nate is 87-90 mph with two outstanding breaking balls to go with it. It wasn’t long before college coaches recognized his ability. Nathan, a very good student as well, wanted to find the right fit both academically and athletically. He was able to do just that with the Winthrop Eagles and decided that’s where he wanted to spend the next 4 years.
Congratulations to Nathan and the Pawelczyk family!!!
